A Second Little One is Joining our Family!

Hey there!

It’s been a while since I posted regularly on here, so I think it’s time for a little life update and explanation!

I am pregnant!

After being so on top of my blogging for several months, the first trimester fatigue and sickness hit me hard (or at least much harder than my first pregnancy!) and all I could do was sleep during bitty boy’s naps.

But I am coming back now, as full of energy as ever!

We are so excited to bring another sweet little baby into the world. Bitty boy loves playing with other toddlers his age. He is so social and friendly. He’s got the biggest heart and loves carrying around his baby doll and giving it big hugs. I can’t wait to give him a baby sister or brother and permanent play mate.

Needless to say, pregnancy has gotten me thinking back on so many things. Thinking about the last pregnancy and the beautiful birth experience we had. Thinking about the little life inside of me and who he or she will become….

I am so overwhelmed when I think of the love I feel right now as a mama. To be honest, since becoming pregnant it has been so hard for me to fathom loving another little one as much as we love this little guy.

But when I think of all the unknowns as we experience pregnancy and prepared for his arrival, one thing is for sure. As soon as he came it felt so natural and the love for him was immediate. I immediately knew that I was “Mama”, even though the thought of being a mother still seemed so foreign near the end of pregnancy. I know that all things work out as they should and everything will fall into place with this next little soul.

So… we are excited and I am recommitting to be more active on here! You can probably expect to see a lot more pregnancy related posts on here in the future.

Some other exciting things I’m working on this pregnancy:

Being certified as a prenatal yoga teacher. So yes, I’m also going to try and share more yoga-related posts 🙂

Trying to get my Etsy shop up and running with more actual items.

Getting our little apartment to feel more homey with DIY projects, artwork, and getting things organized.

Trying to savor every moment I can with little Peter. Living intentionally and finding joy in every day.

Working on myself. I’m really trying to become more like Jesus this year. I’ve come to realize that I need to re-orient my focus so that he is still at the center, rather than getting distracted by all the other good things. I’m trying to love and serve and see everyone as children of God. And treat them that way!
